About the Event
We live in a world that teaches us to categorise everything into right and wrong—even our emotions. But who defines what we’re allowed to feel? And what happens when we begin to censor our own inner worlds?
In this 1-hour workshop, we will explore these questions through reflection and writing, looking at poetry as a tool for release, awareness, and emotional honesty.
Participants will be introduced to the Malay poetic form Pantoum and guided to write their own piece. With its structured repetition, the form creates a safe space to explore complex or “unacceptable” emotions with both control and depth.
